Whew! A buzy day!
Cindy, Mike, the kids and I took a drive out to BC Packers to pickup Ambrosia, Jona Gold, Pears and various fruit to take back with us. Afterwards, we took a drove through Peachland to Hardy Falls to walk through the pathways to watch the remaining salmon make their way through the streams. Beautiful areas. I had to take note of Active Bears in area signs posted. From there we drove to the top of the mountain in Summerland to Summerland Sweets. We found a great gift basket to give to Mike's aunt for the times she let us stay at her place as a thank you. In Summerland they have the most awesome icecream and make every type of syrup that you can imagine! The pumkin sage butter is to die for!! We drove down from the mountain and made our way to Gellatly Nut Farm and picked Walnuts and Chesnuts. The kids really enjoyed that. We drove to a park along Lake Okanagan and then to another park. The kids hung onto a zip cord and shot themselves down a metal zip line. What a blast! Too funny. I walked along the water's edge and fed the ducks. Collected rocks. We arrived home and made spaghetti. Then, in the evening Mike, Cindy and I went to the Casino for a couple of hours. Nope, I didn't win a penny. I should have just handed them my money at the door. Lots of fresh air today. I am tired. G'night!
